Your journal is the most personal thing you own. We treat it that way.
This policy explains what iSOAP ("we", "us") collects, why, and what we will never do with it. It applies to the iSOAP app for iOS, the web app at app.isoap.app, and isoap.app.
Only to serve you: to store your entries safely, transcribe your handwriting, make your pages searchable, and — when you ask — to generate reflections, insights, and books drawn from your own words. We never use your journal for advertising, and we never sell or rent your data to anyone.
iSOAP runs on a small set of service providers, each used only to operate the app:
These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your content for their own purposes. We share data with no one else, except if the law requires it.
For as long as you keep your account. Your entries are yours; we keep them so you never lose them.
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time, right in the app: Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your entries, photos, transcriptions, and account data from our systems. You can also email us at hello@isoap.app and we'll do it for you.
Your data is encrypted in transit, stored in access-controlled systems, and photos are served only through expiring signed links. No system is perfect, but your journal is guarded like it's ours — because we'd want the same.
iSOAP is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll note the new effective date here and let you know in the app.
